The Infallibility of Words
05-03-03

In my search for key passages to add to this book, I read:

"Adam and Eve (as they are called) were mortals, free from sin and obedient to the Father, and thought that they were immortal; but when the temptation came and they yielded, they realized to their great sorrow that they were not immortal. And so will every spirit of mortal be in the future life, where the Divine Love of the Father has not become a part of its existence." [Jesus]

Upon reading this I wondered, "Then from whence came the first temptation?"

It was given me to understand this.

"The word temptation has for some, and in your case, through conditioning, carried with it negativity. When one thinks of temptation one may liken it to being tempted by evil influence and carries with it negative results of the same. And there it ends.

But when one sees through the eyes of Love, one realizes that temptation can be positive and carry with it positive results. Temptation then becomes opportunity.

When mankind is tempted in a negative manner, say to tell a lie, it is in truth an opportunity which by our own free will, we decide to tell the lie or not.

Equally we are tempted in a positive manner, say to perform a loving act of kindness. Once again, it is our free will choice to do this good deed or not.

This rules applies to all who have not the Divine Love in their souls, as well as those who do possess It. However, in the latter case, as God's great Love increases in quantity, temptations (opportunities) of the negative sort disappear over time and one sees only the positive opportunities. This then is being led by the soul.

Thus, the temptation of our first parents was that of the positive kind, God's great opportunity of receiving His Divine Love and Substance. Since they believed that immortality was already theirs, they reasoned that they had no need to pursue the acquirement of this great gift. This brought on feelings of pride, arrogance, and independence as you have also misunderstood in a previous message. This then became their disobedience, another word which troubles you, and can easily be understood by replacing it with "error." It was, then, the error in their thinking that led to the free will choice of refusing this opportunity.

Respectfully and with great love, Jesus.

The Infallibility of Words Continued...

As I meditated on these words and pondered their meaning, another question came to mind: "How did our first parents come to believe, in error, that they were already immortal?"

What I received was so monumental and foreign to me that I began to doubt what I was hearing. Since I was not able to record the words as they were spoken, I began to worry if I would be able at the time of this entry to repeat them. Jesus lovingly pointed out that knowledge and Truth are never lost and the ability receive them can be recaptured in an instant. So I ask Jesus, my loving brother, to help me here now. (I pray to God.)

"Are you ready?"

[Yes, I am ready.]

"You are correct, I am Jesus, Master of the Celestial Heavens. I have heard your call and come in response to answer your question and impart this great Truth.

Let us consider that when the first parents were created, they were in many ways like children. At their creation, they had no need to use spoken words. Thus, their communications were that of soul to soul. Your modern language refers to this as telepathy. Here in the spiritual realms, we call it soul to soul communication.

It is necessary to first consider how a person first sees this new world into which he has been born. A newborn begins its sensations through feeling. Although the babe cannot in many cases "see" its parents until the eyes begin to develop focus, it feels the love coming from its parents. This is soul to soul communication and this feeling is also accompanied by sound, "coos" and "aahs". As the eyes begin to focus, the child then begins to observe its surroundings.

This then is how the first parents became to falsely believe that they were immortal. They saw their perfection, which was even greater than man possesses now. They had perfect health, for disease was unknown. They had no blemishes or any physical aberrations. They were indeed perfect, and in wonderment of this material world.

Thus, by observation of the blessings and perfection that was theirs, they came into the belief that they must be immortal. They also possessed this soul to soul (telepathic) communication with their Creator, and when God presented the offer to them, they believed that they already possessed this great immortality, or that, if they were wrong in their thinking (for this occured to them also), that they could obtain it on their own, independent from God.

I hope I have made this clear for your understanding. Do not doubt your abilities to hear us. You are being helped, guided, and loved as your desire to help mankind, by the Love God has placed in your soul, finds its exit.

We understand your need to confirm what I have written here with others you may feel are more "seasoned" in their ability to accept communications from us and we are not in the least offended, but realize it is your way of measuring your abilities.

I am Jesus, your beloved brother and friend."

Upon reflection, I thought about language and how it has changed or differed in various parts of the world over the centuries. Man has made a great study of ancient dialects, symbols, hieroglyphics, cave drawings and such. I thought about my own native language and how a single word can carry various meanings depending on the context of the conversation or writings.

Then I thought about soul to soul communication, for this is the manner in which we "speak" with God. Being a mother, I understood the example Jesus gave in the message.

Whether we are concious of it or not, I believe we all possess this ability. I have been aware of this experience with family members. Sometimes we voice something and another will say, "You are reading my mind," or "I was just thinking that." And this happens both ways. How often do couples with just a glance toward each other seem to say, "Your thoughts are my thoughts?"

This same phenomena has occured with complete strangers. I have eaten in restaurants and a pause will occur in conversation, at which time I look up to observe my surroundings. Someone will look at me and I in turn look at them, and we simultaneously smile. The realization then becomes, "This is no stranger. This is my brother/sister." We have made a connection soul to soul.

Love,
jackie

Thank you Rob,

It is also my understanding, and this is my opinion only, that the word telepathy not only involves material mind to material mind as man has tried to prove scientifically, but also the soul's mind to soul mind.
Could this be another example of listening to one's inner voice also? Hmmm...
I prefer to listen to what rings true in my soul, but I often "fall down" in listening to what my material minds says also. Thus I pray to God to help me find balance between the material world and the spiritual world so that I may be in this world, but not of it.

Dear Jackie,

Thank you for sharing your message from Jesus with us. In our search to understand the nature of our soul, it is important to share our spiritual discoveries with one another. Since our love-filled meeting I have enjoyed having heart-to-heart conversations with people I have met (though maybe not for the first time). It is a wonder to actually "hear" your loving thoughts in response to mine.

I want to thank Carlos for his burning desire to know of his soul's qualities. As I become aware of who "I" am, it pleases me to know that I will not be alone in the space God makes for me to be only love.

With deep gratitude for each of you,

Amy

Dear Kathryn,

As you can see, I chose the title of the post myself, believing that "infallible" meant unreliable or misunderstood. And now I see just the opposite is true and it is causing me to giggle. How appropriate! Indeed, the fallibility of infallibility!

I will post this on the new thread as well.
Thank you ever so much for not taking my word for it :)

With love and laughter,
jackie

Dear Amy,

Thank you for your most loving words. It took much prayer and a great leap of faith to post what I have been given to understand. Yet my love for mankind is strong and the motive behind this message is my sincere desire to encourage mankind to seek our Heavenly Father for the answers to life's questions.

Long ago, I used to frequent our public library for answers. Now, I seek God and trust in His guidance. He never fails me and, even now, I still marvel at this great Love, compassion, and care.

Love,
jackie
