Soul Longings. What is the difference between soul longings and The Divine Love?
Is there a difference?
Hey Georgi,
I know you know this already but I will say that the longings are the means to receiving the Divine Love .
This reminds me of a message from Solomon.
Padgett asked, "What is the greatest thing in all the world?"
Solomon answers "prayer and faith, and the Love, the Divine Love of the Father. The latter is waiting and the former causes it to enter into the souls of men. No other truths are so great and momentous to men.
Let what I say sink deep into your memory and try the experiment. I know you do try, but try, and then try, and never cease trying. The love will come into your soul and with it faith, and then knowledge and then ownership.”
I don’t know if I quoted it all, word for word, but I think it says what my soul knows.
Anyway, Georgi I love you and I can still see you walking thru the mall with Werner radiating all that Love you guys have. I can’t say it enough how much I love you guys and my family here. Gotta go I feel some love coming my way.
Love ya!
Hi,
Soul longings are intense heartsick feelings of wanting to be with God. Divine Love is a radiant heat you feel pouring into your heart.

Yes Judy,
You put it abruptly, but yet simple and true. Though all would not translate it the same exact way.
At first I would venture to say the longings are very strong and you can confused it with receiving the DL. In time its something you know the difference quite easily and the longings become more enjoyable.
I have heard some folks say it even hurts, thinking the Divine Love coming in the soul would hurt, when in fact it feels like tingly and sweeeeeter than any honey. :) It comes as they say "In Ebbs and Flows".
Sometimes too the "Angels are around us" ( where have I heard that before) they bounce their Love on you, so to speak, and you can mistake it with receiving th DL. Something that again as you grow a tad more and receive more of the Love you can distinguish better. It only gets better.
I hope this helps to distinguish the clear difference between Soul Longings and the Divine Love.
With Love,
George
PS: I felt at this years retreat Carlos if we stayed a couple more days, just a couple more days. What about a week or 3 more? yummmm. yeahhh. What a marvellous time. I could do that for longer periods of time. In fact in time....... alllll the time!
Hi George,
Yes I would like to add that the longings can be as if your heart is aching. I know exactly what you mean about the Angels bouncing their love on us. I call this shedding their love on us. And there is a definite distinction between soul longings and receiving the divine love. As I mentioned the longings can be intense as if your soul was heart sick to have God's Love then the answer comes and it is a warm radiant heat pouring into your heart. Also completely different from when your band sheds their love on you. I have never felt the Divine Love hurt. I believe the Divine Love is suppose to comfort us. I wonder if perhaps the people who say it hurts are actually experiencing an opening up of an old wound. When the old injuries and wounds that are on your soul is opened up there is pain then the divine love goes in and binds up and heals the wound and this is the comfort. I have had some experiences of old wounds being opened up and it feels as though my heart is bleeding and there is pain but like I say then the divine love enters and binds up the wound then forgiveness takes place. This has been my experience anyway.
Love and Blessings,
Judy
