I am burning to narate them to MP3 and put them on a site for download. After that you can do with them whatever you like.

What are the legal obstacles to overcome? Who owns the right to the Padgett and Samuel messages?

There is no copyright, other than the copyright in the actual format of a specific book. Victor Summers placed all the Padgett messages in the public domain inthe 1960's or so. He was at that time the legal head of the Foundation. Anyway, that is what he told me. As for Samuels, he (Victor and the Foundation) would not have had the copyright to that work.

In any event, Samuels went off in a huff. He would have owned the copyright, and unless he assigned to an heir, it would only exist for 50 years after his death, I think. Same for Padgett, but he assigned it to the Foundation. There has been a big court case in the USA about assignment of copyright, and The Urantia Foundation lost their case, because the channel did not assign copyright. I gather Samuels' family was against his mediumship, so I think you are pretty safe there.
