When Kathryn was cleaning out our attic of my grandmother’s books, she found a copy of Thich Nhat Hahn's "Lotus in a Sea of Fire," which he wrote during the Vietnam War explaining the Buddhist’s view of war. He could have written it today about the Iraq conflict - how little we still know of and how much we misunderstand other cultures.
I am grateful to the people who have the courage to express the truth around emotionally volatile issues – Gandhi, King, Mother Teresa, Thich Nhat Hahn, and many others who are not read in the news. I had the impression that God's Love works like the tide on the shore of the collective human soul. Relentlessly, He brings His Love to us through every possible means, through every person in every culture. The Great Flood story told across the continents of Europe and Asia is a small reminder that history affects the human being first. Through sharing the story of our souls we create bridges to worlds that may have at one time seemed so far away and unrelated to us.
I see the connection of the language of compassion to the great respect of free will that characterizes the angels' messages to us. While the angels seem to be able to speak above the “right and wrong” of a situation, they are still able to speak to our hearts in such a way that we feel loved and supported.
Dear family, I so appreciate your personal stories, and I look forward to learning more about your wonderful souls. I am trying to share more of mine with you.
In Love,
Amy
