Goodmorning sweet brothers and sisters in Christ,

Just back from another wilderness experience, this time in Lake Powell, Utah. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend a week with one of my hero's in life, Dr. Gary Kimmel. Gary is a retired oncologist who, in retirement, started a foundation, the Cancer Foundation For Life. The foundation is a post cancer treatment program that restores quality of life to patients through a free exercise program. Gary is an inspiration to the many patients who were wheel chair or bed bound, who are now active adults with a greater zest for living. He is a great inspiration to our community and to me as this was indeed a privilege to spend this time with him. Gary is also an active white water rafter, who invited me on this week long float on the Escalante River in search of the Anasazi Indian ruins.

Several days into our trip, we were sitting at dinner time on the banks of one of the canyons on the Escalante River, a major tributary into Lake Powell. I told Gary that I had a profound experience 30 years ago that was life changing for me and has become my life's purpose. I shared with him my personal testimony of learning of the Divine Love as I had been invited to a study group meeting led by Dr. George Stokes, Kathryn, Amy and several others in Santa Cruz, California many years ago. That this experience was so revolutionary for me that I am engaged in a process of personal change and transformation which has become my obsession, the seeking of my Father's Divine Love. I shared the inspirational writings of James Padgett and as well some of the controversial challenges to traditional Christian theology such as the Vicarious Atonement.

After I finished with my story, I listened to Gary's reaction to what I had shared. Gary is a deeply spiritual man who is broad minded as this is what he said. He said that he heard nothing in what I said that contradicted anything he had ever read or learned in the Bible. That the message of Gods Love is an unconditional gift to His children that is not contingent upon race, religion or belief. That all of the other extraneous beliefs such as reincarnation, trinity, virgin birth, ransom sacrifice etc. are not important compared to the main message of God's Love. That the main thing is the MAIN THING. Wow, what a revelatory response from someone who had never formally heard of this message of the Divine Love. We spoke of the distinction of the natural/Divine Love dichotomy and of the requirements involved in what it really meant to being "born again". That it what was simply not something that was completely embraced through simply acknowledging Jesus as one's personal saviour. That the Divine Love transformation is a process of evolvement and change as it were as the result of continual seeking and prayer for the Father's Love. I truly felt that we were not simply connecting in our beliefs but that there was a true soul connection and agreement.

As the result of this sharing with Gary, I have re-discovered again the personal power of one's testimony. That our testimony is our story to tell and that it needs to be told and re-told, that others may hear the good news. Gary and I talked about Jesus and the fact that one cannot go back, as we were doing in these canyons searching for Indian ruins, to find artifacts and pieces of Jesus' life. That he did not write a book, did not start a church and that there is little evidence of his life; except for the story that has been told and re-told. How is it that someone who had only taught for three years and did not write a book or start a church have the greatest impact upon the world over all other great teachers? It is because he personified the first fruits of the Fathers Love and that his story has become the greatest story ever told. Your story, your testimony is the greatest story you will ever tell. Share your story and you too will deeply touch the heart of others.

Your loving brother in Christ,

Dan

Thank you, Dan, for sharing your uplifting spiritual interchange with a new friend. Welcome back from your outing in nature. It's wonderful, and a bit amazing, to read about people who have found the truths of God's Love in the Bible. I had tried to find it there, but was unsuccessful until I read Jesus' teachings revaled anew in his second revelation through J.E.Padgett.

Then it became apparent that certain passages had been leading up to a spiritual conclusion, but due to the many interpretations and interjections over time the conclusions had become inconclusive.

I'm happy to see posters on this Divine Love Fellowship Forum write about their spiritual experiences in receiving God's Love. I hope to see our wonderful Forum have more posts devoted to writing about the transforming power of God's Grace - Divine Love - and how blessed we are to know that we can receive this Gift into our own souls through our sincere desires and prayers for Its inflowing.

Crystal and Daniels's wedding was beautiful and harmonious. Christian and Mathew were there. Also Marc Reza, his wife Angelica and their daughter Natalie, she will be 17 in January. Rev. Jimmy and Terri, Na Makua (I have no idea what that means, Hawaiian for some service) were present and helpful with the ceremonies.

There were maybe 35 guests in attendance; many photos were taken. The photographer gave me an email address to access the photos. I'll share it with you when I locate it.

God bless you for contributing loving spiritual input for us to enjoy.

Your friend and sister in the Christ Love, Kathryn

Dan,

Welcome back from your recent adventure! It is a wonderful and exciting experience that you have had and shared with Gary and us here on the board. As you so rightly said, it is our own personal testimony that speaks volumes when sharing the knowledge and experience of the Father's Divine Love. The light in your soul shines and the love in your voice will woo the heart. As by example, an Angel lighting the path for those who follow in their footsteps.

Great to hear that you had such a wonderful time in the wilderness, and that you are back safely.

Love,
Zara

Goodmorning/Goodnight Zara & Nicholas,

Thank you guys for your love & support. Having friends like you really brightens my day.

Yes, the trip in Utah was very special as many lessons were realized. One such lesson I would like to share.

Gary & I motored down the Colorado River to the Escalante in his inflatable white rafter raft & once we entered the Escalante we assembled our folding kayaks & paddled into the narrow canyons. Upon reaching the end of the floatable part of the canyon we would beach our boats & hike up the slot canyons. Eventuallly some of these canyons would become so narrow that one could not hike but, like an inch worm, put one's back against one side of the canyon wall & your feet upon the other & scoot along, hovering over the water below. The water below you was about chest deep, however the bottom tapered to a very narrow V, as the concern was slipping & falling & wedging one's foot or twisting or breaking your foot. Gary, who is 64, and eight years older than me is a fearless chap, forged on ahead of me as we scaled a small waterfall. Moss was growing on the canyon walls as it was very slick. As I followed Gary, I was really feeling out of my comfort zone as I retreated back down to a more stable location. The trip back down proved to be harder for both of us. Gary had disappeared around the distant corner as I feared for his safety. A rescue in these parts would be challenging.

As I hung around waiting for Gary, I was thinking: what was the point of pushing on, just to reach a few hundred meters more when the trip all of the way up to here was totally awesome? You have to understand Gary though as he is relentless sometimes.

I watched Gary as he worked his way back down towards me and then......he fell. His feet slipped on the canyon walls & in he went ino the water twisting his foot & ruining a $2000 Nikon camera. Gary could not hike the remainder of the trip.

The lesson I drew from this: it's all about the jouney & not always the destination.

Love,

Dan

Another lesson learned: Our own inner voice and promptings from the Angels and the Father can better serve our need as a dependable guide in the face of danger or following others into danger.

Despite what was said in that recent "Message of the Week (http://divine-love.org/forum/showpost.php?p=9172&postcount=17)," there certainly is a joy in being able to tell another person about the experience of the divine Love. But for most of us, this opportunity doesn't come along all that often, and so, as Werner's message suggests, it's good to realize that we are being teachers of the Love just by manifesting it. But for me there's a special thrill when, occasionally, someone sincerely wants to know about my spiritual life.

It must have been doubly a treat for you to be able to share your experience with one of your "heros." Praise the Lord!

It was a cool experience Doug & the setting was spectacular. Gary & I were sitting on a small beach surrounded by 2000 ft. Navaho sandstone cliffs that dropped vertically into the canyon's liquid landscape. It was nearly dark & the silloute of the sandstand mesa against the star studded night sky was incredible. We sat in the ambient light of the celestial heavens above us & shared in conversations of the Father's Love.

At the end of the trip, Gary remarked that this adventure was truly special for him as he said that he felt he got an extra "bonus".

Sometimes we don't know if what we share with others falls on deaf ears & that they are just being polite in acting interested. However, my motto is to act is if, as we just may see another star twinkling in God's Celestial Heavens.

Love shining your way sweet brother,

Dan
